Short answer: not at the federal level. A plan has been ordered, but no federal fund has been created and no law has been passed.
On 3 February 2025 President Trump signed an executive order directing the Treasury and Commerce secretaries to prepare a plan for a United States sovereign wealth fund. H.R.3116, a House bill that would study the idea, was introduced on 30 April 2025 and referred to the Financial Services Committee, where its recorded status is "Introduced".
What the US does have is a large group of state funds. We list 31 US entities, 29 of them state-level, including the Alaska Permanent Fund and the Texas Permanent School Fund. See US state funds.
