Sovereign wealth funds in Australia and Pacific

We group every entity into one of seven regions. The counts are: Asia 46, North America 43, Africa 38, Europe 35, Middle East 34, Latin America and Caribbean 21, and Australia and Pacific 14.

The regions look very different once you look inside them. North America's count is mostly state and provincial funds: 37 of its 43 entities are sub-national. The Middle East includes several funds that sit near the top of most published size lists, and several of those do not publish their size. Africa has many young funds and 9 of its 38 entities are still proposed or not yet operating. Membership of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds also varies: 8 African entities are full members, and 2 in North America.

Each region page has a sortable table, the transparency picture for the region, the newest funds, and links to every country page. We also have dedicated pages for the Gulf, Africa and Asia.
